The Bible teaching in church is very good (although sometimes the sermon can be a bit long for me!).
I started coming to Southside Bible Church (then WVBC) in 2003 when it started when there were just a few families coming along. Being a part of church has helped me a lot – with coping when good friends have died and making new friends over the years. Through church I have friends that have been part of my life for over many years and they have helped me in many ways.
I enjoy going to our mid-week Fellowship Groups, which I have gone to regularly for years. I like looking at the Bible with my Christian brothers and sisters and I like Hebrews 10 and 11 which is all about faith and good examples we can follow. One thing I particularly like is when our Fellowship Group has a meal together – usually at the end of terms or the end of the year. For me, this is a highlight of year.
I go to church on the bus. The Bible teaching in church is very good (although sometimes the sermon can be a bit long for me!). At church, I help by putting out the signs and bring them in, arranging the chairs, doing welcoming and helping out with café time by looking after the bins for people. I also like looking after a friend who is in a wheelchair and cannot speak – I sit with him, wheel him around, make sure he is being looked after and gets to his taxi on time.
