Join us on Sundays at 10.00am

We’ve saved a seat for you!

We know it can be hard visiting somewhere new, so here are a few things you can expect when you join us…

Feel free to contact us or hear more about why you should join us from our stories

  • We are physically gathering on Sundays at Namadgi School, 141 O’Halloran Cct, Kambah. Our meetings are conducted in line with the latest COVID-19 conditions announced by the ACT Government.

  • Southside is made up of all kinds of people:  teenagers, couples, singles, grandparents, families, widows and young adults. White collar, blue collar and no collar at all! People from all corners of the world, and from all kinds of cultures – including South East Asians, Chinese, Koreans, Indians, Americans and Aussies. We have people who have grown up in church and people for whom church is new.

  • As we start our 10 AM celebration, we sing traditional and contemporary songs in worship of the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. We pray (talk to God), read the Bible, and hear about what is happening in the life of our church before we have a “half-time” coffee break, which we call Café Time.

Café Time gives us a chance to connect with each other as a community, and get physically fed (and caffeinated) before we are spiritually fed through the preaching of God’s Word.

After Café Time our children’s and youth programs happen, while the adults listen to the main Bible teaching (sermon) in order to grow in Christ’s likeness and apply the Bible to every area of our lives. We provide a copy of the Bible talk in print for those who have English as their second language.

Our prayer is that you will feel at home with us. We guarantee a good welcome!

  • Parking outside the school is free. If you are catching the bus, there are hourly bus services from the Woden and Tuggeranong interchanges on Sundays. A lift can be pre-arranged if you let us know. Students from ANU car-pool to and from university accommodation.

  • We don’t have a dress code and you can wear whatever clothes make you most comfortable. That means some of us like to dress up while others insist on wearing shorts and thongs right through the Canberra winter!

  • Pram, wheelchair and scooter accessibility are available right from the car park to the main meeting area in the hall. We can help you by providing further assistance if you let us know.

  • Yes, of course! Our Sunday celebrations are run in a style that makes sense to people who are new to Christianity and church life. You are free to just come along and observe Jesus’ community of believers in action. We invite everyone to connect to Jesus and live under His Lordship.
